“Hiring Sam as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions in our whole birth experience. we felt so incredibly taken care of at such a fragile and beautiful time. she was so calm and confident with our baby that it made me feel calm and confident with our baby. truly what more could you ask for? genuine, gentle and immensely
knowledgeable - we were able to ask any and all of my questions which were plenty as first time parents.

We're so lucky to have sam as a part of what will be forever be one of the greatest times of our lives. We refer her to every friend we know having a baby in nyc. thank you sam!”

Testimonials

“We had Sam as our birth doula for our son's birth this past December and she was incredible to work with!

During pregnancy we met with her two times and she provided me and my fiancé with tools/resources to prepare for labor and birth. In addition to providing tangible resources she also was there to listen and calm any nerves I had after doctor appointments. Sam was always quick to answer texts and send great tips/ideas to try throughout the pregnancy.

The day of the birth did not go as planned but Sam did all she could to remind me of just how strong I was and my birth story wouldn't be complete without her there.

If you are looking for a knowledgeable, kind and overall amazing support person - you should absolutely have Sam as your birth doula!”

“Samantha Kraft is an extraordinary doula, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering doula support.

My journey began with a desire for a natural, unmedicated birth, and Samantha was instrumental in making this a reality. She worked closely with both me and my partner, preparing us for the experience. Her presence was essential to our birth team, bringing expertise and calm to a potentially intense situation.

Her impact was so notable that even the hospital nurses remarked on her exceptional skills and asked for her name. In the often clinical environment of a hospital, Samantha created a warm, safe space for delivery, making the experience much more personal and comforting.

For those uncertain about the value of a doula, I can attest to their critical role in fostering healthy birth outcomes. Samantha's support was invaluable, and I believe her presence is a key factor in positive birthing experiences.

In summary, Samantha is not just a doula; she is a vital part of the birth journey. If you have the opportunity to work with her, I assure you, that your experience will be positively transforming.”

“As first time parents to be, we knew we were about to embark on an entirely new journey and we wanted all of the support we could get. We had discussed having doula support and took the steps to be connected with one as we approached our final trimester. When we met with Sam, we instantly felt a connection and at ease. She was very down to earth, knowledgeable and listened to all of our desires and concerns. We walked through what we could be doing to prepare for labor so that both my husband and I could feel supported through the process. It was comforting to have her present at doctor visits advocating for and with us, and when the big day arrived it was no different. She was there every step of the way and for that, we will be eternally grateful. Sam is a part of our family now as she played such an important role in an incredibly special time in our lives. With Sam as your doula, you are gaining a true advocate and friend.”

“We worked with Sam on our first born baby boy. Sam is very approachable, knowledgeable, attentive, caring, and supportive! She made us feel more confident facing my first labor. She gave us just the right amount of attention, not too much but sufficient to make us feel comfortable and well supported. She is also very resourceful. She provided us ample advice and references when we needed them and when we didn't even know that we needed them.

On the delivery day, she made herself available for us for the entire time (close to 24hrs). She was extremely helpful in the delivery room, providing physical and emotional support. We couldn't have done it without her!

I would love to work with Sam on my future babies and recommend her to all of my friends. I enjoyed her positive energy and calm vibes. Her suggestions and presence helped me to have a smooth delivery. We sincerely appreciated the opportunity to have her as our doula!

Oh btw, she's a great photographer! She helped us to capture the precious moments during delivery. I love the pictures and video!” -

“Let me start of by saying my partner and I are so thankful we had Sam on our birth team. Sam was actually our back up doula the day I went into labor at 37 weeks and we had yet to meet. I was nervous at first about being in labor with a back up doula since I had already established a relationship with a doula but Sam was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. She was also familiar with my birth plan. Through out my labor process at the hospital Sam was very supportive, hands on and helped advocate my wishes and needs. She made both my partner and I feel completely comfortable around her. When I think back about on my birth story of a natural unmedicated one I do believe Sam really helped get me there with the movements  and techniques and her words of encouragement. I still remember after giving birth to my beautiful babygirl I was scared to push my placenta out and she held my hand until my placenta was out. Thank you Sam for being both knowledgeable and amazing at what you do!”

“Sam, my doula, was so amazing. My one advice for everyone no matter what type of care you choose is to hire a doula. A doula’s job is to basically be your personal cheerleader/ positive encouragement for you AND your partner as you journey through the realities of the pain of labor. Sam kept reminding me I was strong and able to do this. That I could do anything for the 90 seconds of intense contractions and to ride out the wave of them. I needed that while I was having a hard time persevering. She showed Big Chris how to massage me through contractions and kept him “in the zone” to be my support as well. Doulas are just the best.”
